Our client, a large and well-respected public-sector healthcare provider based on Bristol, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to provide high quality project management for complex capital projects – on time, within budget, and to specification – significantly contributing to the management of their multi-building estate and property portfolio.

This Senior Project Manager role is incredibly varied, with key responsibilities including:
- Managing capital projects and associated budgets over a wide range of values, from £350k-£25m from inception to commissioning and handover
- Managing 4-5 Project Managers in terms of performance, personal, and professional development
- Assessing and preparing service user briefs, identifying the service requirements and objectives
- Providing professional expert advice on approach to producing feasibility reports and business case reports for consideration
- Managing external contractor partnerships, ensuring SLAs are met, and leading on tender processes
- Carrying out risk assessments to all aspects of the work process and implementing safety measures to ensure high standards
- Checking for project design, specification, procurement, cost estimation, and project management within financial limits
- Creating appropriate project management structures and appointing project team members
Due to the nature of this Senior Project Manager role, previous experience in the planning and processing of construction related schemes within the public sector is essential. The successful candidate will also be experienced in budget management, documentation and associated protocols for managing the contract process, and implementing design principles related to commercial premises. Knowledge of Health Technical Memorandums (HTM) and Health Building Notes (HBN) would be a bonus!
