Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of claims for a variety of insurance products from first notification and verification through to settlement/closure
- Completing full analyses of coverage/liability, reserve evaluations, and resolution strategy, ensuring accuracy of financial recording and reporting
- Working with claims management, loss adjusters, panel lawyers, brokers, and insured to ensure the highest standard of technical claims handling and customer service delivery
- Managing relationships with service providers/venders, including third party administrators (TPAs) and outsource providers
- Liaising with internal departments, including actuarial, finance, operations, and underwriting, as required
Experience and Skills
- Proven claims handling experience/technical expertise in one of more of the following insurance products – PI, ASU, and/or CAR
- Strong working knowledge of Consumer Duty and wider FCA regulations
- Ability to prioritise and organise a high-volume caseload
- Willingness to learn new insurance products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
