Reconciliation and Banking Team Leader

As a Reconciliations and Banking Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the team, ensuring targets are met in line with expected timescales. You will be motivating and developing staff members and encouraging their professional development.

Daily duties to include:

  • Overseeing and supporting the maintenance of core team processes including client money reconciliations and investigations, and cheque processing and banking
  • Liaising with relevant third parties such as fund managers and banks via telephone and email
  • Completing daily checklists and control checks on team processes
  • Working with department managers to ensure SLAs and KPIs are met
  • Conducting one-to-ones, appraisals, and implementing training and development plans
  • Handling escalated queries and complaints, ensuring fair customer outcomes
  • Managing risk management processes and liaising with relevant teams to mitigate risk
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations, particularly CASS 6, 7, and 8

Required skills and experience:

  • Previous financial services experience is essential
  • Previous leadership experience
  • CASS knowledge, in particular CASS 6 and 7 regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
