Our client has a brand-new and exciting opportunity for a Procurement Lead to drive the UK outsourcing and offshoring agenda and to help embed strong supplier management practices across the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading the progression of the UK outsourcing and offshoring strategy
- Undertaking detailed analysis and making recommendations on outsourcing strategy and policy
- Supporting the management of core outsource suppliers to ensure performance, value, and compliance
- Leading the development and embedment of strong supplier management practices across the supply chain
- Supporting the implementation of robust risk and compliance monitoring across procurement
- Coordinating and delivering remedial actions where risks or control gaps are identified
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation across supplier and outsourced management
- Acting as an SME within procurement integration and group-wide projects
Skills and Experience
- Strong procurement or supply chain management experience in a regulated environment
- Experience managing primary suppliers or outsourced services
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management capability
- Commercially and financially astute
- Resilient and proactive self-starter
