Our client has a brand-new and exciting opportunity for a Procurement Category Lead to lead sourcing activity across key spend categories. You’ll work with a range of internal colleagues, stakeholders, and external suppliers. Previous experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain management is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering sourcing strategies
- Managing category pipelines, contract renewals, and supplier consolidation
- Leading sourcing and contract negotiations
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
- Monitoring market trends, supplier developments, and industry best practices
- Using spend analysis and management information to provide insight and support decision making
- Working with internal teams to support planning, forecasting, and wider business objectives
- Ensuring all procurement activity is delivered in line with regulatory requirements
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain management
- Experience managing sourcing projects, supplier relationships, and commercial contracts
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data
