Procurement Category Manager

Our client has a brand-new and exciting opportunity for a Procurement Category Lead to lead sourcing activity across key spend categories. You’ll work with a range of internal colleagues, stakeholders, and external suppliers. Previous experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain management is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering sourcing strategies
  • Managing category pipelines, contract renewals, and supplier consolidation
  • Leading sourcing and contract negotiations
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring market trends, supplier developments, and industry best practices
  • Using spend analysis and management information to provide insight and support decision making
  • Working with internal teams to support planning, forecasting, and wider business objectives
  • Ensuring all procurement activity is delivered in line with regulatory requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain management
  • Experience managing sourcing projects, supplier relationships, and commercial contracts
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data
