Our client is an amazing charity that makes an incredible difference to carers across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. They are now looking for a Finance Manager to join their friendly team!
Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be supporting with strategic planning from a finance perspective. This role is part time, working 3-4 days per week, and offers incredibly flexible hours to fit around you.
Duties will include:
- Leading the planning and budgeting processes for the charity
- Managing a Finance Officer and offering coaching and training as needed
- Ensuring income and expenditure records are kept
- Maintaining records of grants, donations, and other funding
- Reconciling the charity’s balance sheet
- Liaising with banks, auditors, pension providers, and investment managers
- Preparing financial reports as required
- Overseeing the payroll function for approximately 60 employees monthly
Skills and experience required:
- Experience within a similar financial role within the third sector
- A related financial qualification is ideal but not essential (e.g. AAT)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to produce accurate reports to meet deadlines
