Our client, a successful wealth management platform that supports financial advisers to invest on behalf of their clients, is looking for an experienced Head of Investment Administration to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the delivery, oversight, and continuous improvement of the investment administration function – ensuring the efficient, accurate, and compliant execution of trading and investment servicing processes, as well as ensuring regulatory obligations are satisfied.

Key duties and responsibilities to include:
Leadership
- Leading and developing managers, technical specialists, and operational teams to deliver high levels of performance, quality, and client outcomes
- Promoting operational transformation, identifying areas of improvement and implementing automation and digitisation strategies
- Ensuring operational excellence and working on operational change programmes
- Driving a culture of employee engagement, development, inclusivity and wellbeing
- Ensuring delivery of agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monitoring operational performance and productivity across the department, creating a high performing team
Investment Administration Oversight
- Leading and overseeing dealing, banking, reconciliations - ensuring accurate execution, settlement, corporate actions, and asset administration
- Managing operational risks, issues and escalations, maintaining strong controls, service standards and regulatory compliance
- Managing relationships with key external providers, including custodians, counterparties, and fund managers
- Supporting strategic change and growth, including new products, markets initiatives, system changes, and business projects
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensuring compliance with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty and CASS regulations
- Ensuring robust financial controls and governance frameworks
- Identifying risk, mitigating financial breaches and conducting regular internal audits
- Ensuring completion of all required regulatory reporting and leading external audits
- Managing escalated operational incidents, customer complaints and service issues
Due to the nature of this role, proven experience of leading operational teams in a regulated financial service environment is required, preferably within investment, platform, or wealth management operations. This is alongside a strong technical understanding of investment administration processes (including reconciliations, dealing, corporate actions and cash management, etc.)
