Finance Manager

  • 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
  • AAT Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) essential

We’re recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join our client’s friendly team!

This role is responsible for the day-to-day running of finances, and a planned aspect for the finance function is the modernisation of finance workflows through improved system integration and the adoption of automation tools.

Duties will include:

  • Full responsibility for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Managing and optimising the integration between the in-house system and the accounting software
  • Completing bank reconciliations and managing company expenses
  • Overseeing the calculation and validation of timesheet hours monthly
  • Maintaining the General Ledger up to Trial Balance including month-end journals, accruals, and depreciation
  • Completing nominal ledger reconciliations and managing rebate calculations
  • Identifying and implementing AI-driven technology to improve efficiency
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Preparing and maintaining a rolling 13-week cashflow forecast
  • Acting as sole point of contact for internal and external financial queries

Required skills and experience:

  • AAT Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) is essential for this position
  • Proven experience in a previous Finance Manager role, ideally within an SME
  • Strong bookkeeping knowledge and proficiency in Xero or equivalent
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Due to the location of our client’s office, access to your own vehicle is required. This role is office-based for the first 6 months until training is completed; following this, a degree of hybrid flexibility (1-2 days per week from home) may be considered.
