Finance Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client’s friendly finance team! As a well-known and successful Bristol organisation working in the construction sector, you’ll be working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure all accounting duties are completed efficiently.

If you have previous experience within a financial accounting role and are AAT/CCAB qualified, this could be the next role for you.

You’ll be a key member of the finance team, supporting with all functions of the department from cashflow monitoring to payroll. You’ll also support senior management with administrative duties in line with month, quarterly, and year-end.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the end-to-end payroll process on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Completing month-end processes for the preparation of management accounts and reports for the board
  • Assisting the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Responsible for monthly VAT submission including nominal reconciliations
  • Meeting with management to review and analyse financial information, providing guidance and advice to make effective business decisions
  • Preparing year-end working papers and reconciliations
  • Assisting with audit queries and ensuring all relevant information is supplied
  • Preparing data analysis of the annual payrolls

About you:

  • Ideally have completed CCAB or AAT level 2 or higher
  • Previous experience in a financial accounting role
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 software and double entry account systems
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis
  • Previous experience within the construction sector and CIS payments is essential
