Our client is recruiting for a Employee Relations Specialist with strong HR experience and a track record of handling ER cases. In this role, you will be managing daily HR operational activities with a focus on employee experience, stakeholder collaboration, and workforce initiatives.
This role is key in ensuring excellence in people engagement and operational delivery. Due to the nature of this role, expertise is required in employee relations, policy compliance, and change management. In return, you will receive a competitive salary and fantastic benefits package!
Daily duties to include:
- Acting as main point of contact for employee enquiries, concerns, and escalations
- Managing complex ER cases including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance issues, and long-term sickness cases
- Providing guidance to line managers on handling employee matters
- Drafting and reviewing outcome letters, investigation summaries, and formal documentation for hearings or appeals
- Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and internal governance frameworks
- Conducting training sessions on HR policies and processes
- Contributing to workforce planning and policy updates
- Supporting ER aspects of organisational changes such as restructures, TUPE transfers, or mergers
Required skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- CIPD qualification is highly desirable
- 3-5 years of experience in HR with a proven track record of handling high-volume ER cases
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS guidelines, and GDPR compliance
- Excellent conflict resolution and strong analytical skills
