Our client is looking to welcome a Credit Underwriter to their friendly team! This is an entry level role and would suit a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in the financial services industry.
You will be responsible for evaluating credit applications and supporting with wider team in the delivery of exceptional customer service. This role requires someone with an analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and a knack for numbers.
Daily duties to include:
- Making credit underwriting decisions for customer applications
- Ensuring compliance with industry and company regulations
- Analysing and interpreting financial information from a range of sources
- Ensuring robust audit trails for all application outcomes and appeals
- Managing customer enquiries in a timely manner
- Escalating any procedural issues to the management team as appropriate
- Liaising with a range of internal colleagues, customers, and third parties
Experience in a similar analytical position is desirable but not essential.
Other skills required include:
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Strong IT literacy, in particular Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
