Accounts Administrator

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Our client is recruiting an organised Administrator to support their accounting team with an increased workload. You will need to be comfortable dealing with high-volume administrative tasks and have exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.

The Role:

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls, along with bespoke Outlook mailboxes, ensuring timely query resolution.
  • Verify invoices on accounting ledgers, ensuring accuracy within agreed SLAs.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and adhere to month-end deadlines.
  • Handle payment and receipt postings.
  • Provide exceptional support to both internal and external customers, fostering strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with Customer Relations teams and assist with departmental controls and audits.
  • Offer support during peak periods and cover for colleagues as needed.
  • Engage in ad hoc project work and complete all e-learning by deadlines.

The Person:

Training will be provided but the following skills and experience are required:

  • Previous administration and or accounting operations experience (AAT level 1 or equivalent)
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High numeracy skills and time management 
  • Fantastic communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
